AUXILIARY VERBS PRESENT






Present simple

Negative form

Question form

Do se utiliza con los sujetos: I, you, we, you, they.

 

Does acompaña a los sujetos: he, she, it.

 

El auxiliar do not/does not irá después del sujeto pero antes del verbo principal y este ya no se conjugará, puesto que el verbo auxiliar ya está conjugado en presente.

Primero se coloca el auxiliary verb, después el sujeto y luego el verbo principal en forma base.

I don’t need any help with the Project

Do you want me to help you?

She doesn’t play the violin

Does she play the violin?



Present continuous

Para el presente continuo usaremos am, is, are + un verbo con -ing

Will you hand in the assignment in time?

Esta es la forma más reconocida de formar el futuro, pero no hay que olvidar que también existe la estructura “going to + -ing” o que hasta el presente continuo tiene un uso como futuro en ciertas ocasiones.
